Rutherford Agricultural Division
Rutherford opened in Earlston in 1911 as Millwrights and Agricultural Engineers. Over the years the Agricultural division has grown and today operates from three sites throughout the South East of Scotland and North Northumberland. The head office branch is at Rhymers Mill in Earlston; Swinton Mill branch is situated near Coldstream and our East Linton branch in East Lothian.The Case IH dealership is an important part of the division along with Lely and Welger among other leading suppliers. Our long established and well respected specialist ATV department with Kawasaki and Arctic Cat products are part of the Agricultural division along with Rutherford Trailer Centres for Ifor Williams trailers. Rutherford Ground Care is a new department selling and servicing a wide range of ground care machinery and equipment.

Rhymers Tower Service Station
Rutherford opened their forecourt at Rhymers Tower Service Station in 1962 and has been an Esso dealer since then. It is one of the largest self-service sites in the Borders with a forecourt shop selling almost everything including an off licence. Other services include two jet car washes, a car vacuum and LPG Auto Gas. The site is situated on the A68 adjacent to the ancient Tower of Thomas the Rhymer.
